Sometimes, all you need is the easiest of all possible LEGO activities to put you in the mood for sleeping. This activity will help you to wind down from all the excitement of the day and get ready to rest thanks to the power of repetitive building and dismantling.
Choose a selection of bricks – it could be just three or four nice chunky pieces, or a small handful of your favourites. Without thinking too hard about it, connect them together into a structure, and then take them apart again. Repeat as many times as you like, either making the same build every time or creating different variations depending on which piece comes next to your hands.
As you build and dismantle your creation, allow your mind to relax a little bit more each time.
Focusing your attention on these physical sensations will help you let go of the stresses of the day, because there’s nothing specific you have to achieve here – just rhythmically moving the pieces together and taking them apart is enough.
If you’ve had a stressful day, you can imagine that the bricks represent something that has been troubling you.
